Pros and cons
- User friendly. Faye Travel Insurance is super easy to get started with. Whether you’re using the website online or opt for the mobile app, getting a quote on your insurance cost and understanding the claims process is quite straightforward thanks to a clean user interface.
- Great value for standard coverage. Faye packs a lot into its initial coverage before you even add in additional coverage for things like rental cares. This gives it strong value when considering its lower cost.
- Customizable for those who need it. If you’re planning on renting a car, engaging in adventure activities, or have a pet who you’re boarding, you can add additional coverage that helps you address these specific scenarios beyond Faye’s standard insurance policy.
- Some exclusions. Faye is certainly full of valuable coverage, but there are some exclusions to their policies. From acts of war to purchases incurred while you were under the influence, just because you have travel insurance doesn’t mean it will necessarily apply exactly to your situation.
- Lost luggage coverage capped at $2,000. $2,000 is certainly a high amount of coverage for lost luggage; however, if you’re travelling internationally for a wedding or other trip that requires clothing that costs more than $150 an item, Faye’s coverage won’t be as useful.
- Have to pay for base coverage. While the customization Faye offers is helpful, there are certainly some aspects of Faye’s basic plan that may not apply to you and your travel. As such, you’ll wind up paying for base coverage that you may not need, rather than being able to mix and match coverage based on what you do and don’t need.
