Pocket7Games Review – Gaming With Real Prizes
While there’s generally no such thing as free money, playing mobile games and incidentally earning some free cash is pretty much as close as it gets. Featuring various games and the opportunity to win real money, Pocket7 Games offers a collection of puzzle games, arcade games, and card games to play — all with the chance of winning real money. Perhaps best of all, these casual games are good for gamers of any skill level, thanks to intuitive gameplay and easy-to-understand rules.
With a few different real money games on the app store, you may wonder, “Is Pocket7Games the best app for a gaming experience offering real prizes?” While not the only app out there that allows players to win cash, there are some definite pros and cons to Pocket7Games when compared to other options. Learn more about the ins and outs of the Pocket7Games app in this review.

What is Pocket7Games?

Pocket7Games is an app developed for Android and iOS by Avia Games featuring a collection of games within one single app. Their slogan is “Small Games for Big Money.” Avia Games Inc. is a women-owned game developer based in Mountain View, California. The company was launched in 2017 by Ping Wang and Vickie Chen.
At the heart of Pocket7Games is a complex algorithm that helps match players in multiplayer games based on their skill level. That means that if one of your favorite games has a particularly high threshold for competition, you won’t be thrown into the deep end immediately.

How does Pocket7Games work?

To create an account for Pocket7Games and start playing, I headed to the app store on my Apple device to download the app.

The first time you open the app, you will have the option to set up your profile. You can add your picture, enter your username, or generate a random one to remain anonymous.

Once you’ve started your account, you’re invited to choose your first game to start playing and competing for real money. Games like Bingo Clash, Solitaire!, 21 Gold, and Tile Blitz are all available at the start; however, games like Bubble Shot have to be unlocked by playing at least three games of a different game.

You’ll start by playing a practice game to get a feel for the Pocket7Games user interface. In the game you play, you’re matched with a player of a similar skill level—and get to participate in a tutorial to learn the ropes. This helps ease you into gameplay, which is great if you know you’ll soon be competing with money on the line.

I won my first game, which earned me a total of 20 tickets. Those could then be spent to play cash games and win real money.

How much does Pocket7Games cost?

When playing Pocket7Games, you can choose from entering and competing through ticket and cash games. Ticket games have an entry fee paid in tickets but can still have a real cash prize pool. Generally speaking, these prize pools are smaller than other tournaments and head-to-head games you can enter.
Entry fees are sometimes free but generally range between $0.20 and $6, depending on the payout size. Larger tournaments with bigger prize pools may cost $12 to enter. These prices are a bit higher than some other real money apps in the app store, but the prize payouts are usually bigger in Pocket 7 Games.
When you first start, you can deposit cash with matching bonuses. This can be a good way to earn extra money as you’re just starting. For example, if you deposit $5 in the first 24 hours, you can get an additional $5 matched. You can also get $30 matched dollar-for-dollar if you deposit $30 to your account. Deposits are handled via Apple Pay, PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.
It’s also important to know that Pocket7Games will also offer free cash tournaments from time to time. These are much more competitive with a higher number of players but illustrate the fact that you don’t necessarily have to spend money to make money playing Pocket7Games. The presence of log-in bonuses also helps to keep the overall costs of Pocket7Games more affordable than other mobile gaming platforms with cash prizes.

Log-in bonuses

One thing to note about Pocket7Games is that in addition to winning tickets to use towards entry fees, you can also enter bonus giveaways by consistently logging in to the app each day for seven days total. Some of the cash prizes available to me for logging in seven days in a row are as follows:
  • Day 1: 1,000 tickets
  • Day 2: $0.60 cash
  • Day 3: Mini game scratch-off tickets
  • Day 4: Coins
  • Day 5: 2,000 tickets
  • Day 6: 5,000 tickets
  • Day 7: $0.60
That means you don’t need to spend any money to get started, so long as you’re fine with logging in and playing each day for a week. You’d have 8,000 tickets and $1.20 to spend in-game at the end of your seven days.

Pocket7Games features

Nine games offered

Pocket7Games offers nine different types of cash games, so there’s something for everyone within the app. You will find a few favorite games in this app if you like variety and the opportunity to mix up your games. Here is a quick overview of the nine games offered in Pocket7Games.

Solitaire Clash

Tournaments with five to ten players and Klondike-style Solitaire games make Solitaire Clash a fun way to compete for money by playing one of the most classic card games.

Bubble Buzz

This is a fun version of the classic bubble-pop arcade/puzzle game but with cash prizes. The more bubbles you shoot and clear with one shot, the bigger your bonus.

Bingo Clash

If you’re hunting for more skill-based Bingo games, Bingo Clash is the game for you. Featuring fun boosters and a head-to-head gameplay experience, Bingo has never been so fun.

21 Gold

If math and Blackjack appeal to you, you will enjoy 21 Gold. Tap cards to create columns that add to 21 and earn points. If you bust three times, the game will end—but you also can use Black Jacks as wild cards to clear columns no matter what they add up to.

Tile Blitz

Tile Blitz owes a lot of its DNA to games like Tetris. Instead of cascading pieces, you will choose from three available pieces at the bottom of your screen to make rows and score points.

Explodocube

If you like link-matching games akin to Bejeweled, Explodocube is probably right up your alley. Cash rewards make this color-matching game more fun than similar games since there’s an added level of competition.

Fruit Frenzy

Fruit Frenzy is a fun maze-like matching game that will have you looking for a way to connect identical fruit in a grid. With fast-paced gameplay, this simple concept can be deceptively challenging.

Dunk Shot

If you love basketball, you’re sure to appreciate Dunk Shot. Dribble the ball by repeatedly tapping on your smartphone or tablet’s screen and make scores to earn points.

2048 Blitz

Put your math skills to the test in this take on the classic addition puzzle game from the early 2010s. With additional app-based goals for lower sums, even if you have a go-to strategy, you’ll have to find ways to adapt to succeed in this game version.

Matching by Similar Skill

Pocket7Games uses an advanced algorithm to help match you to opponents with a similar skill level. Especially if you’re trying a new game or still getting comfortable with the user interface, this can give you peace of mind that you won’t immediately lose your investment on entry fees to a player who consistently ranks much higher than you.

Mini-games for bonus cash

Want to earn extra tickets and bonus cash? Various casino-like mini-games are offered with Pocket7Games to help you level up your earnings. From scratch-off tickets to spin games, the variety in Pocket7Games’ mini-games is just as good as the rest of the app.

Secure ways to cash out

You’ll need to accrue at least $2.00 in earnings to collect your payout. With prize payouts ranging from $0.20 and $1 to $5, $10, $20, and up to $400, that may not take long. You could easily withdraw in about a week if you play and win a few games and then collect some bonus dollars for logging in seven days in a row. Withdrawal is simple and straightforward, thanks to integration with PayPal.

Who is Pocket7Games best for?

Casual gamers

Thanks to the fast, casual nature of the games on Pocket7Games, most games can be played in just three to five minutes. This makes them a great choice for people looking to kill a little time at the end of their lunch break or during a commute.

Competitive players

If you’re the type of gamer who would play any of the above kinds of games solo and have a competitive streak, Pocket7Games can kick your mobile game enjoyment up a notch by placing you head-to-head with others.

Who shouldn’t use Pocket7Games?

People without money to lose

You likely won’t get rich playing Pocket7Games, so it’s important to only put money into the app you can afford to lose. If you can stick to a $5-$10 budget a week on the app, you may make some modest earnings but don’t waste your money on the game if you have bills and other obligations you need your money to go towards.

Addictive personalities

Especially with how simple it is to fund your account and get stuck on the high of winning, those with addictive personalities or who have struggled with gambling in the past should probably stick to the versions of these games without financial rewards.

Pros & cons

Pros
  • Variety. If you like to mix up the games you play but don’t want to have to juggle a bunch of different icons on your home screen, the app-within-an-app approach offered by Pocket7Games is pretty awesome.
  • Easy to get started. With simple-to-understand tutorials and no major investment needed upfront, getting started with the app is easy.
  • No ads during gameplay. Other games interrupt your gameplay with ads between rounds or at the top or bottom of your screen. Pocket7Games offers an ad-free experience during gameplay.
Cons
  • Higher-than-average entry fees. Some of the entry fees for bigger tournaments could cost you upwards of $6, which is relatively steep compared to other cash prize apps on the app store.
  • No withdrawal until $2 is earned. $2 is a relatively low threshold, but it is a bit of a bummer that you can’t immediately withdraw your winnings if you’ve won a few games and then decide that the app isn’t right for you.
  • Mini-games don’t add much to the gameplay experience. The mini-games offered by Pocket7Games are a fun diversion and can earn you extra tickets or cash, but they aren’t a particularly satisfying experience from a gaming perspective. It might just be me, but the idea of a virtual scratch-off ticket just sounds rigged from the get-go.

Avia Games Inc.

It’s easy to get confused because Avia Games Inc. makes various games, including Pocket7Games. Pocket 7 Games is a collection of mini-games, so technically, Avia Games has made all of the games, but they are referring to two separate entities. Pocket7Games includes a variety of skill-based head-to-head matches and cash prizes surrounding games like Dunk Shot, Fruit Frenzy, and 21 Gold. On the other hand, Avia Games has released several standalone games outside of the games included in Pocket7Games, including Blockolot, Word Clash, Bingo Tour, Cooking Clash, Yatzy Craze, Match n Flip, and more. These games include cash prizes; however, Pocket7Games is the only app with several easy-to-access games in one app collection.

Skillz

Skillz is an eSports mobile games platform founded in Boston in 2012. Games are available on Android and iOS devices and feature a variety of game genres from developer partners. After getting matched with players with similar skill strengths, you can play games for free for fun and earn Ticketz which can continue free games and earn real prizes, including swag and real cash prizes. You can also enter big tournaments to win some serious dough through games like Blackout Bingo, Dominoes Gold, Solitaire Cash, Solitaire Cube, Pool PayDay, and more.

FAQs

Is Pocket7Games a scam?
No! You can win real cash playing Pocket7Games and easily withdraw your winnings using PayPal.
What platforms is Pocket7Games available on?
According to the official website, you can download and play Pocket7Games on Android and iOS devices.
Is Pocket7Games fair?
The match-making algorithm certainly helps keep competitions fair, but Avia Games, Inc. goes one step further in discussing fairness. On their website, they share the following disclaimer: “The Avia Games team takes fairness very seriously. As such, we do not tolerate fraud or cheating under any circumstances. If you suspect an opponent of cheating, you can report their Match ID to Player Support. Players who have been found guilty of cheating are permanently banned from all Avia Games apps.”

The bottom line

If you’re a casual gamer or love competition, Pocket7Games can be a great collection of games to add to your mobile gaming rotation. Each game is fun, fast-paced, and quick to play, meaning that they are great for commutes or just killing some time. Perhaps best of all, you can win real cash playing these games! Now that’s time well spent.
While you can earn money playing Pocket7Games, you shouldn’t expect to get rich overnight. Even so, if you play frequently and collect daily and weekly bonuses, you could easily make enough money to buy a nice dinner or a few monthly lattes. Especially if you like to play these games on your phone anyway, it doesn’t hurt to play them through Pocket7Games if you’re the type of person with expendable money to spend on things like this.
If there are any drawbacks of Pocket7Games, the entry fees are a bit higher than similar Skillz games, and some of the additional features, like mini-games, don’t add much to the overall experience. However, the fact that you get an ad-free gaming experience while you’re competing is a major plus. With free competitions and ticket bonuses allowing you to play Pocket7Games without investing a cent of your own money, it’s worth taking a spin to see if it tickles your fancy.
