How does Pocket7Games work?
To create an account for Pocket7Games and start playing, I headed to the app store on my Apple device to download the app.
The first time you open the app, you will have the option to set up your profile. You can add your picture, enter your username, or generate a random one to remain anonymous.
Once you’ve started your account, you’re invited to choose your first game to start playing and competing for real money. Games like Bingo Clash, Solitaire!, 21 Gold, and Tile Blitz are all available at the start; however, games like Bubble Shot have to be unlocked by playing at least three games of a different game.

You’ll start by playing a practice game to get a feel for the Pocket7Games user interface. In the game you play, you’re matched with a player of a similar skill level—and get to participate in a tutorial to learn the ropes. This helps ease you into gameplay, which is great if you know you’ll soon be competing with money on the line.
I won my first game, which earned me a total of 20 tickets. Those could then be spent to play cash games and win real money.

How much does Pocket7Games cost?
When playing Pocket7Games, you can choose from entering and competing through ticket and cash games. Ticket games have an entry fee paid in tickets but can still have a real cash prize pool. Generally speaking, these prize pools are smaller than other tournaments and head-to-head games you can enter.
Entry fees are sometimes free but generally range between $0.20 and $6, depending on the payout size. Larger tournaments with bigger prize pools may cost $12 to enter. These prices are a bit higher than some other real money apps in the app store, but the prize payouts are usually bigger in Pocket 7 Games.

- No withdrawal until $2 is earned. $2 is a relatively low threshold, but it is a bit of a bummer that you can’t immediately withdraw your winnings if you’ve won a few games and then decide that the app isn’t right for you.
- Mini-games don’t add much to the gameplay experience. The mini-games offered by Pocket7Games are a fun diversion and can earn you extra tickets or cash, but they aren’t a particularly satisfying experience from a gaming perspective.
